Here I worked with a small Finnish agency launching ‘Lunette’ menstrual cups to the sanitary market. The approach was no-nonsense headlines and bold copy, with colourful art direction that tells women about the cup and why it’s better than tampons and towels. Amusing headlines about the main advantages (less hassle, less changing, environmentally friendly, more comfortable) stand out in the print campaign and I also worked on the company presentation, bodycopy and positioning line along with the agency’s creative director. Further work will take the form of ambient/guerilla marketing and ideas.
From my stint at Rainey Kelley, Virgin trains were doing a special print promotion during the rugby world cup to tell business travellers their trains had more points to plug in laptops, audio, and an on-board shop. A simple design and line worked best.
This was for a pitch to Ribena a few years ago. At the time there weren’t so many cordials on the market that had such a high juice content, were in glass bottles, and loved by kids and parents alike. We felt that 'posh squash' summed it up and these print ads followed.
A fun press campaign for Petsmart (the biggest petshop in the UK). We aimed this campaign at young professional couples taking the first step of commitment and moving in together. 'Have pets not kids' was our fun idea, and these eye-catching, dynamic ads were the result.
Canterbury of New Zealand
Whilst at Electric, my art director and I won Canterbury as a client with our promotional '100 years of rugby' campaign. Our idea was the gritty ‘blood, sweat and 100 years’. The ads had to show players Canterbury had sponsored, showcase their range of products and tell people what it was that Canterbury did – rugby! We went to Cardiff to shoot these and worked with an illustrator afterwards to create a range of ads.
Some press ads for Osh Kosh – a kids clothing brand, very simply using clever lines and cute pictures of babies to sell the clothes. We also produced a very sweet clothing brochure for them at around the same time.
